OPINION: SEE BUHARI'S LETTER TO SENATE DECLARING OSINBAJO AS THE 'COORDINATOR' OF NIGERIA GOVT.
There was an uproar yesterday following the reading of the letter of President Buhari asking for permission from the Senate to travel outside the country to attend to his health.
The said letter letter had generated a lot of controversies among Nigerian citizens.
Taking a view at the content of the letter, part of which states: "While I am away, the Vice President shall coordinate Government activities"
The content of the letter which was adjudged by good number of Nigerians as written in good faith, yet, perceived negativity about the letter seems too far fetched and opinion on same devided among some folks.
In the said letter, the president mentioned Osinbajo as the Vice president who shall coordinate government activities of Nigeria pending his arrival.
This seems a matter of semantics and choice of words made bonafide but taken Malafide
The question is, even if Buhari himself is around and at all time the president without handing over power, what does he do majourly? He simply presides over or coordinate government activities of Nigeria. Pure and simple
The dictionary can help with the meaning the word 'coordinator' which are quite expansive.
How are the wordings in the said letter wrong or bad?
