As they prepare to leave school , Tanzania ’ s conjoined twins, Consolata and Maria Mwakikuti , have big ambitions .
While they hate to be surgically separated , the Siamese twins who share everything , including household chores and dreams , say they want to be married to the same husband when they eventually decide to settle down for marriage .
In an interview with the BBC, they share their dreams for the future .
The 19 - year- old girls attend a secondary school in Iringa , Tanzania . And they already know what they want to do .
“ Our expectation is to get to university; and after our university education , we would like to be teachers .
“ We will teach, using a projector and computers, ” they said .
Their parents had died immediately they were born , but a Catholic charity , Maria Consolata , adopted and raised them. It also named them after the name of the organisation .
Funding from local government and private individuals had enabled the twins to continue their education .
The teenagers say they are against the idea of being surgically separated .
As well as being a teacher , they say they would like to eventually get married to one husband .
