The Governor made the remark today while receiving the report of the committee set up to look into the Salary Arrears of the state public servants. The committee is chaired by the Deputy Governor, Arakunrin Alfred Agboola Ajayi.
Ajayi while submitting the report thanked the Governor for the opportunity given him to serve in that capacity. He expressed hope that when government look into the detailed report payment may not be difficult.
The Governor also thanked the state civil servants for their resilience and doggedness during the difficult time.
"We can't ask the workers to forgo their salaries. We have to pay even if that's all we are able to do as government", he said.
