WHAT A SENATE! ALLI NDUME SUSPENDED

Sen. Ali Ndume

The Nigerian Senate has suspended senator Ali Ndume for 6 legislative months.
His suspension was recommended by the Senate committee on ethics and privileges for 191 legislative days but was later reduced to 6months.

Senator Ndume, a former senate leader was accused of bringing unfound accusations of Illegal importation and Certificate forgery against the senate president Bukola Saraki and Chairman senate committee on FCT, senator Dino Melaye.

The senate said Ndume failed to conduct proper investigation before his allegations.
The Committee recommendations
1. Suspend Senator Ali Ndume and notes that dilligence should be the watchword .....
2. The Suspension starts today, 29th Match, 2017 to last for 191 Legislative days.

3. The signed report is laid before the DSP.
7. Ali Ndume being a former Senate Leader failed to conduct proper investigation before his allegations.

Sen. Yusuf Abubakar says as a first offender, Ndume should be suspended from Committee activities and not outright suspension.
