END OF DICTATORSHIP AND NEW ERA OF CHANGE IN GAMBIA

The new Gambian President arrived Banjul Airport and his rousing welcome from citizens of Gambia
The 26th day of January 2017 marked the end of dictatorial regime in Gambia as the new president of Gambia, Adama Barrow made a triumphant entry into Banjul the State capital of the Country.

You will recall that Yahya Jammeh who was the defeated president in the last Gambian Presidential election was forced into exile by the looming and threatened armed operation of ECOWAS troop when he failed to yield power to the newly elected president which caused his opponent to be inaugurated at the Gambian embassy in the neighboring Country of Senegal.

Before his exit, Mr. Jammeh had been accused of imprisoning, torturing and killing of his political opponents in Gambia.

Mr. Jammeh finally bowed to the pressure from international community who had advised him to peacefully hand over power to the newly elected or face military operation, African regions' military force action and same ended the 22 years of dictatorship.

The West African troops were poised to oust Jammeh if peace talk failed.
