The seniour legal icon, Chief Adeniyi Akintola, SAN  had yesterday, 28th January, 2017 hosted the president, executives and members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).

At Akintola's place at Bodija, the hosting lasted for about 5 hours. All executive members and members of the NBA ate and wine together in the spirit of brotherhood.

The president of the NBA, Mr. Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud  used the medium to brief the seniour lawyer and all lawyers present on the state of the Nigerian Bar and the State of the nation at large.

The widely covered area of discuss includes: The Reform Committee set up by the NBA and commitments, The Corruption and improvement in the Nigerian Judiciary, The appointment delayed appointment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, How to make the Legal profession better, the need to enforce the rule of law in the nation with regards to obedience of court orders and need for then nation to embark on and support legislative reforms among others.

The President welcomed comments and questions from all and addressed same accordingly.

Chief Akintola, SAN thanked all members for coming around and promised his willingness to continue to support the bar and advocate for a better legal profession and judiciary.
